AI technology that helps improve robot and car training, along with a new video game chip, were highlights of the company’s presentation at CES 2025 at 7:1 a.m. ET, when it announced global price.

Nvidia introduced the Cosmos platform model, which can create immersive videos to train robots and self-driving cars at a fraction of the cost of standard data.

In the tech industry, generating synthetic training data, these platform models help robots and cars understand the physical world, while large language models help chatbots generate linguistic responses.

Users can give Cosmos a script to create a video world that obeys the laws of physics.

However, Jensen Huang warns that the cosmological model needs more data before reaching the “ChatGPT moment”.

“We really hope that Cosmos Llama3 will do for the world of robotics and industrial AI what it did for enterprise AI,” said Jensen Huang.

The new chips use NVIDIA’s Blackwell AI technology to bring movie-like graphics to video games, especially in shaded areas, making images look more realistic by adding unfinished details and fingerprints on the surface.

Shaders are a concept in computer graphics and game development.

The new chips also integrate AI technology to help game developers accurately recreate human faces.

Nvidia says its $549 midrange RTX 50 video game chip will have similar performance to its previous flagship chip, the RTX 4090, which retails for $1,600.

At CES 2025, Nvidia also announced that Toyota Motor will use the Orion chip and automotive operating system to provide enhanced driving assistance on select vehicle models.

Jensen Huang predicts NVIDIA’s automotive hardware and software revenue will reach $5 billion in fiscal 2026, up from $4 billion this year.

Nvidia shares closed the Jan. 6 trading session at a record high of $149.43, giving the company a market capitalization of $3.66 billion.

Nvidia’s big increase in market capitalization comes from the rapid growth of its data center business, with many companies using Nvidia chips to develop AI technology.

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is an international financial services group headquartered in London, the capital of England.

In addition, Navia has a large consumer business selling graphics processing units (GPUs) to PC gamers, a sector that analysts expect will reach $11.77 billion this fiscal year.

Last year, Nvidia launched its Blackwell AI server architecture at its developer conference in March.

It is looking to extend its data center leadership to the broader PC market by bringing video game chips into business PCs and laptops to deliver mission-critical solutions. for processes like chatbots and agents.

Agent is a system that helps AI assistants manage complex tasks automatically, becoming the main control interface on each device.

CES 2025 will be held from January 7 to 10 in Las Vegas (USA), where new products from automotive technology to specialized devices will appear, as well as introduce new ways to use them. use AI.

Although CES 2025 opens on January 7, some companies have held press conferences 1 to 3 days earlier.

Organizers said CES 2025 attracted more than 135,000 units.

Of the 1,115 Chinese companies registered at CES 2024 and 493 at CES 2023 as Covid-19-related restrictions disrupted international travel, this year’s number is still lower than the record 1,551. of 2018, in which Chinese companies accounted for more than 1/3 of the total number of Chinese companies. exhibitors participating in CES.

Notably absent from CES 2025 was ByteDance (the group registered to attend last year through its US office), although the TikTok subreddit still exists.

Also in previous years at CES, leading names such as Baidu (China’s largest internet search company), Huawei (telecommunications company transferred to the US since 2019) and DGI (aircraft manufacturer) has appeared on the Pentagon’s blacklist since 2021.

Alibaba will still be present at CES 2025 with its cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) unit Alibaba Cloud.
